Pratibha Kiran Yojana

Pratibha Kiran Yojana is the scheme by Government of Madhya Pradesh to empower women by encouraging them to undertake education. It’s true that there are many reason in the society which stop girls from taking education, and one is poverty. The scheme is especially for the girls who are from Below Poverty Line (BPL) category and cannot afford. The scheme targets the girls from BPL category and those who secured first division marks in their higher secondary school examination (Std. 12^th exam) and awards them financial assistance for their higher education. This not only encourage girls to take education seriously but also showed results which are impressive. Last year only from one college close to 22 students got benefit of the scheme, and one can do the calculation of entire Madhya Pradesh state.

• Financial assistance: Under the scheme the girls from weaker economic background will also get chance to pursue higher education
• Women empowerment: The scheme will indirectly empower the women by bringing them into main stream by educating them
• Awareness about the rights: Educating women will make them aware about their rights and there won’t be any more injustice in the society with women

Eligibility for Pratibha Kiran Yojana:

1. Only girls are eligible for the scheme
2. Must be the resident of Madhya Pradesh state
3. Should have completed education till her HSC in first division
4. Must be from BPL category

Documents Required:

1. Residential Proof (electricity bill, water connection bill, gas connection bill, ration card, voter id, Aadhar card, pan card or driving license)
2. Aadhar Card
3. Age Proof (Birth Certificate/Board Certificate)
4. Bank passbook having (bank name, branch name, account holder name, IFSC & MICR code)
5. Passport size photographs (keep more than one copy)
6. 12^th Standard mark sheet
7. Income Certificate of family
8. Ration Card/BPL card
