The Birth certificate is going to provide to the people of Delhi. The birth certificate is the most important identity document which is essential to get services offered by the Delhi Government to its citizens. Birth Certificate is important certificate because it shows the date and fact of one’s birth for multiple purposes, like right to vote, admission to schools and to the Government Service, claiming the right to marry at the legally permissible age, settlement of inheritance and property rights, and obtaining Government-issued identity documents like a driving licence or passport

Eligibility for Application to Issue Birth Certificate in Delhi:

  1. Applicant should be Resident of Delhi State
  2. Family member who is oldest in age, family chief or that chiefs nearest living relation

Required Documents:

  1. Application on a plain paper
  2. Proof of Birth of the person in respect of whom the certificate is required
  3. Affidavit specifying place, date and time of birth/death of the person
  4. Copy of Ration Card
  5. School leaving certificate, if any, showing date of birth
  6. All documents to be attested by a Gazetted Officer

Required Information to issue Birth Certificate in Delhi:

  1. Name of the Father, Age, and Occupation
  2. Name of the Mother
  3. Date of Birth & Sex of Child
  4. Place of Birth
  5. Name of Hospital & Address
  6. Name of Nursing Home & Address
  7. At home and Address
  8. Residential address at the time of Birth

Application Procedure:

  1. Applicant should visit following link: http://www.mcdonline.gov.in/
  2. After clicking on above link applicant will see the following image
  3.  
  4. After that applicant should have to click on any of the Municipal Corporation which he belongs to
  5. After clicking on that candidate will see following image
  6. Then applicant should click on online services which mention below right-hand side
  7. Candidate will send to the following image
  8. Now to get the birth certificate applicant should register online himself and follow further procedures

Contact Details:

  1. The applicant can visit the office of Sub-Divisional Magistrate in whose jurisdiction birth took place, during 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
  2. Municipal Corporation of Delhi Dr. S.P.M. Civic Centre, Minto Road New Delhi

Fees: Rs.15 per copy plus service charges of Rs.5
