On November 18, 2020, Punjab government is about to launch a new scheme: ‘Punjab Divyangjan Shaktikaran Yojna’ for people with disabilities in the state. This scheme decision was passed virtually in the state cabinet meeting headed by CMO Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh. This scheme will be implemented in 2 phases. The first phase will include improving and strengthening the existing programmes and the second phase will include 13 new interventions for the benefit of physically disabled beneficiaries in the state.
