Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship for SC students

Social Justice and Special Assistance Department offers Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship to 100 Students belonging to Scheduled Castes for Education in Renowned Educational Institutions in the country. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Castes students studying at Post-Matriculation or Post-Secondary stage to enable them to complete their education. This scheme will provide better opportunities for increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability and empowerment through education and increase of the socio-economic conditions of the SC and communities. The SC students, who secure admission in the notified institute according to the eligibility of institute, will be eligible for scholarship under this scheme. Amount of Scholarship covers tuition fees, boarding and lodging expenses, book grant and a onetime grant for purchase of a Computer along with its accessories.

Required Eligibility and Conditions for Applying Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship for SC students:

1. Students must be studying in his first year of graduate/postgraduate course and have secured admission in reputed IIT, IIM, NIT, Agriculture and business school of the country
2. For graduate level scholarship 12th standard CET Marks will be considered. The student must have scored 55% marks at CET Exam
3. For Post-graduate level scholarship, the student must have secured 50% marks at graduate level
4. The student must be domiciled in Maharashtra
5. The student must belong to Scheduled Caste Category
6. The annual income of parents of students from all sources should not exceed Rs. 4.50 lakhs

Document required for applying Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship for SC students:

1. Caste Certificate issued by competent authority
2. Annual income certificate issued by competent authority
3. Domicile certificate
4. Proof of having secured admission to the specified institution along with the details of fee structure adopted by the institution.
5. Xerox copies of Mark sheets and certificates for passing the standard 12th and graduation examination.
6. Caste Verification certificate
7. Fee details of the whole year of concerned organisation

1. Students can download the application form for Rajarshi Shau Maharaj Scholarship from the website of Maharashtra Government maharashtra.gov.in & Social Justice Department https://mahaeschol.maharashtra.gov.in  or https://sjsa.maharashtra.gov.in
2. The application form for Shau Maharaj Scholarship filled in all respects should be submitted on or before last date to the Directorate of Social welfare Maharashtra State
