Uttar Pradesh government is about to start an initiative to distribute smartphones to the Anganwadi workers in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a high-level meeting on June 8, 2021, directed the officials for the distribution of smartphones to the anganwadi workers across the state. Anganwadi workers play an important role in covid control in the state and distributing smartphones to these workers will help to ease and regulate the activities thereby. Government has prepared a plan to train the workers for using the smartphones. Real time scheme welfare data will be available to them which will increase the efficiency of the workers.
