The Sneha Sparsha Health Care Scheme for Children is started by Assam Government (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare). Sneha Sparsha literally meaning the touch of love, is aimed at extending financial assistance for specialized treatment of children below 12 years of age afflicted with some serious ailments such as Thalassemia requiring Bone Marrow Transplant, Kidney Transplant, Liver Transplant, Cochlear Implant, Limb deformities requiring artificial and motorized limb, neurological anomaly like Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida, specialized eye surgery, Blood cancer requiring chemotherapy, and various solid tumors.

Benefits of Sneha Sparsha Health Care Scheme for Children:
- Sneha Sparsha Health Care Scheme for Children provides benefits in the form of financial assistance of we can say free treatment for following mentioned diseases
- Leukemia (Blood Cancer) and Thalassemia in which Bone Marrow Transplant is required: Rs. 10.00 lakh per case
- Cochlear Implant: Rs. 5.35 lakh per case
- Liver Transplant: Rs. 16.00 lakh per case
- Renal Transplant: Rs. 3.00 lakh per case
- Artificial Limbs: Rs. 1.00 lakh for Cosmetic Limb and up to Rs. 2.50 Lakh for Motorized Artificial Limb
- Blood Cancer with Chemotherapy: Rs. 1.00 lakh
- Specialized Eye Surgery like Retinal Surgery or Posterior Segment Procedures: Rs. 15,000
- Solid tumors needing costly investigations and treatment with Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy: Rs. 25,000 and cancer-related surgery: Rs. 50,000
- Neurological anomalies like Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida: Rs. 50,000 for investigation, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation
Required eligibility and conditions for applying Sneha Sparsha Health Care Scheme for Children:
- Children below 12 years of age from families are eligible
- Children parental income should not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakh while priority is given to children belonging to BPL families
- Candidate must be permanent residents of Assam state
Document required for applying Sneha Sparsha Health Care Scheme for Children:
- Income certificate should not exceed Rs. 50 lakh per year
- Permanent residence certificate e.g. certificate form residence authority
- Address proof e.g. Aadhar card
- Medical certificate by a competent and qualified surgeon (if required)
- Photograph of the Patient (Attested by Doctor)
- Birth certificate (Attested)
- OPD Advice Slip/Discharge Summary/Prescription
- All relevant documents related to the illness including expenditure receipts of laboratory tests (viz. x-ray report, doctors advice, pathology test report etc) shall be presented
