Central government has started a subsidy for farmers under the SMAM scheme. The scheme is available for the farmers across the country. Eligible farmers can apply for the scheme & they can buy modern agricultural equipment with 50 to 80% subsidy. Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India have lunched a portal “Direct Benefit Transfer in Agriculture Mechanization” to the farmers to apply online for the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Scheme is applicable for farmers only
- Scheme is applicable in all states across India
- Scheme is applicable to buy modern agriculture equipment
How to apply the scheme:
- Go to the website agrimachinery.nic.in
- Click on the “Registration” tab
- Click on the Farmer option under the Registration
- Register your self with the Aadhar No or Mobile No or Name (As Per Aadhar Card)
- Fill the form with all the details and complete the submit process of SMAM scheme
Required Documents:
- Aadhar card
- Passport size photo of farmer
- Record of Right (RoR) of land to upload while adding land details
- Copy of first page of the bank pass book on which the details of the beneficiary are given
- Copy of any ID Proof (Aadhar Card / Driving Lisence / PAN Card / Passport/ VoterID Card)
- Copy of Caste Category Certificate in case of SC / ST / OBC
