On April 15, 2021, Himachal Government announced a Subvention Scheme for the Transport and Tourism sector in the state. This scheme was announced by CMO Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Jai Ram Thakur. This scheme is mainly launched to give some relief to the transport and tourism industry in the state. Tourism industry is majorly affected due to the ongoing second wave of the pandemic all over, thus to support the state tourism constant efforts are being made by the state government. This scheme will operate for 3 months till June, 2021 and all the tourist lodges, tourism units, etc will be exempted from paying demand charges for 2 months and the same can be paid in installments later without any late charges.
