The Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for UG/PG studies is started by Kerala government (Department of Collegiate Education) for students of Kerala those who belong to economically poor family i.e. BPL (Below Poverty Line) to pursue higher education like graduation and post graduation. The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to economically backward students.

Benefits of Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for UG/PG Studies:

  • The Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for UG/PG studies provides benefits to students in terms of financial assistance. The structure of financial assistance is mention below
  • The selected candidates or scholars will be provided with a scholarship amount of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) per annum
  • Scholarship amount will directly be deposited to student’s bank account

Required eligibility and conditions for applying Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for UG/PG Studies:

  1. The student must be 1st-year student of undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) course in government or Govt. Aided colleges or university departments
  2. The student must belong to BPL family
  3. The student should have obtained 50% or above in the qualifying Examination

Application/Admission procedure and documents required for applying Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for UG/PG Studies:

  1. BPL card or ration card
  2. Aadhar card
  3. Bank details, account number, branch name, account holder name, IFSC code, MICR code
  4. Previous years pass Marksheet
  5. Residence proof
  6. Income certificate ( not mention amount but it must be of less amount )
  7. Filled application form
  8. Identity proof
  9. Bonafide certificate
  10. Passport size photographs

Application procedure:

  1. Candidate has to login Kerala government official scholarship portal i.e.
  2. Candidate has to register online over scholarship portal
  3. Then-candidate would generate application ID and password
  4. Next candidate has to over scholarship portal using application ID and password and fill complete application form carefully along with upload passport size photograph
  5. Take a print out of that application form
