Yuva Srujan Puraskar has designed and started by state Government of Goa (Department of Art and Culture) to honour the Young Goan individual artists. Under this scheme, the government has honour the young Goan individual artist who has excelled in the field of Art & Culture in Goa. Yuva Srujan Puraskar intends to give recognition to young artists for their outstanding achievement and their extraordinary contribution to the field of Art and Culture in Goa.
In this scheme, The Department of Art and Culture annually felicitates youths in the field of Music, Dance, Drama, Folk Art, Creative Photography, Painting, Craft, Sculpture, Bhajan/Kirtan, Literature, and Films etc. with this award. The main objectives of this scheme are to honour the young artists for their contribution towards the field of Goan Art and Culture, to felicitate the young artists par excellence for their outstanding achievement in the respective field of their art and to recognize, encourage and identify the young artists as Youth Artists of the State. An individual artist between the ages of 25-40 years is eligible for this award
Benefits of Yuva Srujan Puraskar:
- Young artists honored with a Memento or certificate of appreciation
- Benefits of financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 per individual
- Talent of young artists in the state will be recognized
- It helps to encourage art and culture in Goa
Eligibility for Yuva Srujan Puraskar:
- An individual artist between the age of 25-40 years are eligible for this award (Only in exceptional cases minimum & maximum age could be relaxed by up to 5 years)
- A person who has given extraordinary contribution in the field of Art & Culture are eligible for receiving the award
- Goan artist should have contributed minimum 5 years in his/her field of art
- An artist’s awarded only once for this Yuva Srujan Puraskar
- Maximum 6 persons in the field of Music/Dance, Drama/Tiatr, Folk Art, Photography/Painting, Craft, Sculpture, Bhajan/Kirtan, Literature are considered every year for this award

- Identity card
- Passport size photos
- Domicile certificate
How to apply for Yuva Srujan Puraskar:
- Every year the Department of Art and Culture releases a press advertisement inviting recommendations of the names for Yuva Srujan Puraskar from institutions, individuals working in the field of Art & Culture
- The Department of Art and Culture may also write to any institutions, individuals to suggest/recommend the names for Yuva Srujan Puraskar
- Once recommendations received from the Sub-Committee, the Director of Art & Culture will give acceptance for concerned artist to receive the Yuva Srujan Puraskar
