Government of Rajasthan has announced an important scheme for the modernization of madarsas in the state called Adarsh Madrsa Yojana (AMY). The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister & Finance Minister of Rajasthan Smt. Vasundhara Raje while presenting 2018-2019 Budget. The objective of the scheme is to mordernise the madarsas and provide quality education and facilities to muslim studens studying in them. The budget of Rs. 25 crores are allocated for the scheme out of which 11 crores are already sanctioned and will be used for purchase of teaching and study material. 500 madarsas in the state will benefit form the scheme in the state. They all will be developed and will be provided smart classrooms facilities. There are 3,232 madarsas registered in the Rajasthan state Madarsa Board. Total 2.35 lakh students study in the madarsas in the state. Madarsas will be chosen based on the certain criteria for the AMY scheme.

- Madrasas who are properties of WAQF Boards

- Madrasas will get smart with e-learning and online teaching trough computers
- Madrasas will be provided teaching and learning materials such charts, math kits, globes and sports equipment and furniture

- Out of 3232 madrasas of state 500 madrasas will be selected for modernization
- Out of 2.35 lakh students studying in madrasas, 1 lakh students will get benefits
- Committee under the chairmanship of district collector will select madrasas on certain criteria
- Based on committee recommendation the facilities and technology will be provided to madrasas
- Financial aid for this scheme already approved by the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan
