Telangana Government has launched a scholarship scheme for the students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST) called as Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi. Grant is given to the students to study abroad under the scheme. The Social Welfare Department of Telangana Government implements the scheme. The objective of the scheme is to provide equal opportunities to the students from the socially & economically backward classes.

Benefits:
- Scholarship of Rs. 10 lakh for fees, living expenses, Visa & economy class air-tickets
- Educational loans upto Rs. 5 lakh from the nationalized banks
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicable only for the students from Telangana
- Applicable only for the students from SC & ST categories
- Income Limit: Family income of the applicant must be less than 2.5 lakh per year
- Age Limit: Applicant must be less than 35 years of age on 1st July on the application year
- Education: Students must have at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination
- Applicant must be a single child in the family
- Applicant must have valid TOEFL / IELTS & GRE / GMAT scores
- He/she must have admission offer from the foreign university

- Copy of latest tax assessments
- Copy of nationalized back passbook
