Telangana Government has launched Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Overseas Vidya Nidhi for BC and EBC Students. for the students in the state. They are provided financial assistance for study abroad. All the students from the Backward Communities in the state are eligible under the scheme. The primary objective of the scheme is to provide equal opportunities to them. Government provides grants for tuition fees, one-way economy class air tickets, & Visa charges to the selected beneficiaries.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicable only for students who are permanent residents of Telangana
- Family income of the student must not be more than 5 lakh per anum
- Applicable only for students from BC & EBC classes
- Valid TOEFL/IELTS & GRE/GMAT with minimum scores:
- TOFEL: 80
- IELTS: 6.5
- GRE: 280
- GMAT: 550
- Age Limit: Less then 30 years of age as on 1st July on the year of application
- The student must have admission offer letter from the foreign university

- Caste certificate
- Aadhaar card
- Birth certificate
- Resident certificate
- Passport copy
- Mark sheets of all the qualifying examinations
- Copy of bank passbook
- Copy of income tax assessments
- Scanned photograph
- Admission offer letter
