Andhra Pradesh Budget 2019 Highlights: Annadata Sukheebhava, cash transfer scheme for farmers announced

New schemes, increased budgets for existing schemes, social & infrastructure development initiatives announced

The Andhra Pradesh Interim Budget 2019 was presented in the state assembly on 5th February 2019. The AP finance minister presented the vote-on-account budget as assembly elections are around the corner. Annadata Sukhibhava (Sukheebhava) Scheme to provide direct cash transfer to the farmers announced. Many other new social welfare schemes, increased budget for existing schemes & infrastructure development initiatives are announced in the AP Budget 2019.

AP Budget 2019 Highlights:

Farmers:
  • Annadata Sukhibhava (Sukheebhava) Scheme announced. Financial assistance in terms of direct cash transfers announced. Budget of Rs. 5000 crores announced.
  • Loan waiver for 2.23 lakh horticulture farmers, budget of Rs. 381 crores allocated
  • Rs. 200 crore for cattle insurance scheme
  • Rs. 200 crore for fodder cultivation
  • Rs. 1,000 crore for market intervention scheme
Unemployed / Job Seekers: Unemployment assistance to be increased from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 per month
SC, ST, BC & Minority Students: Rs. 2,883 crore for fee-reimbursement
Human Resource Department: A budget of Rs. 29,955 crores allocated for HRD
Minority Welfare: Rs. 1,304 crore for minority welfare
Disabled: Rs. 70 crore for differently abled
BC Welfare Corporation: Rs. 3,000 crore for BC welfare corporation
Kapu Welfare: Kapu welfare corporation to get Rs. 1000 crore
Brahmin Welfare: Brahmin corporation to get Rs. 100 crore
Arya Vaisya & Kshatriya:  Arya Vaisya & Kshatriya welfare corporations to get Rs. 50 crores each
Health: Medical health department to get a budget of Rs. 10,032 crores
Driver`s Empowerment: A new corporation is going to be setup for empowerment of drivers
Amaravati Marina project: A key tourism destination to be developed & operational by June 2019
Self Help Groups: Rs. 10,000 to be given to the SHG women members across the state
MSMEs: Rs. 1,000 crores for MSMEs
Social Security Pension: Rs. 12,819 crores are allocated to the social security pension
