The Government of Telangana has introduced Own Your Auto Scheme (OYAS) for minorities in Telangana. The government`s objective is to support people from minority communities and create self-employment opportunities for them. Under the scheme the government will provide subsidy and loan for buying green autos to the interested eligible applicants. The OYAS falls under Economic Support Scheme of the Telangana Government and is implemented by State Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC).
Own Your Auto Scheme (OYAS) Telangana Benefits & Highlights:
- 1800 green autos to be distributed to the minorities in the state
- Government will provide 50% subsidy and remaining 50% to be given as bank loan
- Three wheelers with the citing capacity of three to be distributed
- Only green autos which runs on LPG (Liquid petroleum Gas) and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) will be distributed under the scheme
- These autos can ply under the limits of GHMC
Own Your Auto Scheme (OYAS) Eligibility: How can apply?
- Only residents of the Telangana state can apply
- Residents of GHMC area only can apply
- Applicant`s belonging to minority communities only can apply
- Applicant`s should not own an auto rickshaw
- The applicant must have a valid three wheeler driving license
- Age: The applicant must be between the age group 21 to 55 years
- Income: The annual income of the applicant must not be more than Rs.2,00,000
Own Your Auto Scheme (OYAS): Documents Required
- AADHAAR card of the applicant
- Three wheeler driving license
- Income certificate
- Xerox copy of the first page of the passbook with photograph of the applicant
- Address proof (AADHAAR card, Ration Card, Bank Proof, Voter Id)
- 2 Passport size photograph of the applicant
- Caste certificate (other than muslim community)

STEP 1: Online applications can be done at Telangana State Online Beneficiary Management and Monitoring System (OBMMS), CLICK HERE
STEP 2: Choose your corporation and click on the link for your corporation
STEP 3: It will take you to the registration page
STEP 4: Provide your AADHAAR details and then proceed
STEP 5: Follow the instructions and complete the online application process
