On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the chief minister of Jharkhand Mr. Raghubar Das has launched Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana for widows in Jharkhand. In the Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana, the government has provided a financial assistance of Rs. 75,000/- to build a house in hilly areas and financial assistance of Rs. 70000 rupees in plain areas in the Jharkhand districts. This scheme started with aims for widows to create equality and harmony in society, ensuring all-round development enshrined in the Constitution. In the financial year 2016- 2017, the government has the target to 11000 units (houses) with an allocation of budget Rs. 80 crore rupees. The beneficiaries can get their amount directly in their bank accounts and the government distributes this amount in three installments. All eligible women can get assistance in order to make life easier and independent. The objective of this scheme is to provide the monetary help to the widows to make their life easy after the death of their husbands. The Jharkhand government took very good initiative and this scheme helps widowтАЩs o build their house which will directly help them to make their life easy

- Death certificate of Husband
- Bank account details
- Passport size photos
How to apply for Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana:
- Applicant can visit Gram Panchayat or Zilla Parishad in Taluka/district in Jharkhand
- Applicant also visit collector office in Jharkhand
