CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child

CBSE offering merit scholarship to the meritorious Single Girl Students under CBSE Scholarship Scheme. This scheme is to give a chance to the single girl child who have eligible or talented, but they are not able to achieve higher education due to lack of money. Scholarship is the major help to such students who are weak in economic conditions to fulfill their dreams & make a future brighter & can make them stand on their feet in the competitive world of today. The objective of CBSE merit scholarship scheme is to provide scholarships to the meritorious Single Girl Students, who are the only child of their parent and have passed the CBSE Class 10^th examination and are continuing their further school education of Class XI and XII. The scheme is aimed to recognize the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students.

Benefits of CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child:

• CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child gives benefits in the form of financial assistance for pursing higher education
• The candidate selected under this scheme will get monthly allowance of Rs. 500/- per month
• The scholarship scheme will be paid for two year period. Scholarship payment will make through demand drafts/ pay order

Required Eligibility for Applying CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child:

1. Single Girl students who have secured 60% / 6.2 CGPA or more marks / grades in Class X exam and want to pursue their studying of Class 11^th & 12^th in CBSE School
2. Scholarships are awarded only to students of the nationality of India
3. The tuition fee of Student per month should not more than Rs. 1500/-
4. The candidate must keep on her educational studies in Class XI and XII from CBSE
5. A student under the scheme while availing scholarship can enjoy other concessions given by the school in which she is studying

Documents Required for Applying CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child:

1. Guardian’s / Parents  income Certificate
2. Class 10th Mark sheet
3. An affidavit from the parent showing that the applicant is the only child of their parents on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/-
4. The application form must be verification by the School Principal
5. Photo must be attested by the school Principal
6. Photocopy of your bank passbook.
7. Aadhaar card of the applicant

 Application Procedure:

1. Eligible and interested aspirants those who have required qualification may apply online through Central board of secondary education official website http://59.179.16.89/cbse/2015/sgcx/
2. Before applying candidates are require to read the instruction very carefully with all important details
3. Now press on ‘Apply online’ link then choose ‘SGC-X – Fresh/ renewal Application’.
4. Enter roll no. and certificate no. as printed on your class X certificate and proceed further
5. Fill the form with all important details very carefully
6. After successfully applying online print filled application form
7. Duly filled online application must be enclosed in an envelope super scribing ““APPLICATION FOR MERIT SCHOLARSHIP FOR SGC X 2016 (Fresh or renewal)” and must be reached at the given address
