The main objective of this insurance scheme is to assist the weavers across the state

On July 30, 2021 Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced ‘Chenetha Bima’ for the well-being of weavers in the state. This scheme is being planned for implementation in the state. Under this scheme insurance cover will be provided to all the weavers for ensuring their welfare. This scheme would be finalized similar to Rythu Bima, under which an insurance cover amounting to Rs. 5 lakh is being given to the farmers. It aims at benefiting the weaver community including hand-loom and power loom weavers in the state. Measures are being taken for effective planning and implementation of the scheme. This scheme will tend to be beneficial to the workers in difficult times thereby ensuring their health life balance.
