Chief Minister’s White Revolution Scheme was launched in Lower Subansiri district by the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Mr. Somcha Lowang on Thursday. This scheme is launched by inaugurating a dairy farm in the district. It is a livelihood programme for the citizens in the district. This scheme tends to boost the scientific rearing of animals. It aims at increasing the income and thereby the economic status of the dairy farmers in the district. It will also increase employment and self-employment opportunities in the district.

Scheme Details:
- Chief Minister’s White Revolution Scheme is launched by the Deputy Commissioner of the Lower Subansiri district, Mr. Somcha Lowang
- This scheme is launched for Subansiri district itself
- This scheme is launched for the dairy farmers across the district
- Somcha Lowang marked the start of this scheme by providing more than 15 dairy cows to a beneficiary – Kago Shangkhang near Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh
- This launch programme was organized by the animal husbandry and veterinary department of the district
- Under this scheme the beneficiaries will get dairy animals like cows for the first weeks so that the cows adjust with the cold weather of Ziro
- Veterinary officials will conduct the required inspections and check-ups on a regular basis
- All the activities will be conducted and managed department wise
- Under this scheme, government will provide an assistance of Rs. 10.80 lakhs as government share and Rs. 2.70 lakhs as beneficiaries share for construction of dairy cow shed
- Such cow shed will accommodate 15 cows and 10 dairy cattle
- This scheme is self-sustaining in nature
- This scheme is tending to increase livelihood opportunities for the dairy farmers in the state
- It will also increase income and self-employment opportunities in the state thereby contributing to the overall economic development
