Coconut Development Scheme launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare (Coconut Development Board) Government of Maharashtra. The main objective of this scheme is to increase the area under coconut farming, to enhanced coconut plant productivity through Integrated farming, to establishment of prudential area for adoption of scientific method, to establishment of nursery and production to delivery of good quality coconut plants, to establish organic fertilizer unit, to reduce the risks of coconut production, to encourage farmer for coconut production. Under this scheme coconut crop grower to get Rs. 250 per coconut tree to remove more aged and diseased unproductive coconut plants and the purposive area will be set up to farmer for planting coconut tree along with training to increase productivity of coconut. All coconut crop grower farmer resident of Maharashtra can apply to the scheme. More details and application form can be obtained at nearest Agriculture Office, Government of Maharashtra.
