Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India. During his five years in office, Dr Abdul Kalam’s focus was on transforming India into a developed nation by 2020. In the honour of his memory’s The University of Sydney is offering Dr Abdul Kalam Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarships are open to all international students to study for a full-time undergraduate degree programme within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies. Dr. Kalam is a distinguished scientist and aeronautical engineer by training, he always advocated that it is possible to work cooperatively for an economically developed, prosperous and peaceful society. The Dr Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarships celebrate his commitment to education, and his endeavours to support outstanding students to develop as future leaders.
Benefits of the Dr. Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarship:
- The scholarship is valued at 50% of the tuition fees for a maximum of one year of the undergraduate program subject to satisfactory academic performance deemed to be a minimum of credit average (65%) each semester
- The recipient will be responsible for paying the balance of the tuition fees while enrolled in the program
- The scholarship cannot be deferred and is not transferrable to another Faculty or university. Scholars must not hold an equivalent scholarship simultaneously
Required Eligibility and Conditions for Applying Dr. Abdul Kalam International Undergraduate Scholarship:
- The scholarship is open to all international applicants
- Applicant have a full/unconditional offer of admission for a full-time undergraduate program in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the University of Sydney
- Applicant must completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, or an international senior secondary qualification equivalent to an ATAR of at least 98
- Applicant is not currently hold another primary Scholarship from the University of Sydney

- Residential/Nativity certificate
- Passport copy
- A current CV
- Mark sheets of year 12
- a copy of your offer of admission
