E-Gram Yojana launched by Rural Housing & Rural Development Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to make villages of Gujarat state technically advanced or digital. Under this scheme e-services e.g. government scheme information, video conference related to agriculture etc. will be provided to all folks of village free of cost. This scheme to helps rural folk avail necessary information, various office forms, formats of applications etc. and to make Gram Panchayat task work modern, organized, time-bound, simple, rapid, error-free. This scheme implemented across all state of Gujarat so that Gujarat villages should compete with urban and contribute to a development of the state

Benefits of E-Gram Yojana in Gujarat:

• The scheme helps rural folk avail necessary information, various office forms, formats of applications etc.
• Under this scheme, e-services will be provided to village folks
• Scheme to make the organization, scrutiny, and implementation of panchayat rule more effective
• Scheme to make the various tasks of the Gram Panchayat: modern, organized, time-bound, simple, rapid, error-free and transparent through the implementation of Information Technology

Features of E-Gram Yojana:

1. Internet Video Conference facility at Gram Panchayat
2. All Gram Panchayats will be able to correspond with each other, free of cost, through VOIP facility
3. Live telecast will be possible from State or District levels due to this facility and the member of the Gram Panchayat will be able to receive necessary information, details or training
4. Facilities for online application, resolution of complaints, lists of people Below the Poverty line (B. P. L.) as well as services rendered to citizens through different government departments such as certificates, memos related to Acts, and E-services available through different schemes as well as E-services of private companies will be provided at the Gram Panchayat
5. In addition to these features, Video Conferences related to crop diseases, health (telemedicine) etc. would be organized
