The Madhya Pradesh government has started a social security and welfare scheme for construction workers. In this scheme, the government provides the benefit of financial assistance for the death of construction workers in the state. The Main Objective of the scheme is to give financial security to the construction workers families of Madhya Pradesh. The government provides financial assistance to the contraction worker within 30 working days for the urban area and rural area. Construction sites are, by nature, busy environments filled with workers, machinery, and vehicles. One of the most common types of construction accidents is falling, which can be either on-site falls or scaffolding falls. Body trauma, such as pulls and strains, are also common. Other construction injuries include Equipment runaways and runover’s, Crane accidents etc. Most construction workers have to perform high-risk work for low wages. Work at elevation, heavy overhead loads, an operation of heavy machinery & confined space work, temperature extremes combine to increase the risk of injuries/death. Regarding this, Madhya Pradesh government took very good initiative for the construction worker

- Applicant should be resident of Madhya Pradesh
- All construction worker are eligible for this scheme
Documents required for Financial Assistance Scheme for the Death of Construction Worker in Madhya Pradesh:
- Copy of the live registration card of the worker
- Proof of death or normal death during construction work (issued by the employer, police FIR, municipal body or death certificate issued by Gram Panchayat etc.)
- Name of person named in the registration card submitted by the applicant and certificate of being successor in non-nomination (issued by CEO / Sarpanch / Panchayat Secretary of Tehsildar / Panchayat / urban body)
- Bank account details
