Financial Assistance Scheme for Organic Fertilizer Production Unit launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government Maharashtra. The main objective of this scheme is to increase the use of organic fertilizers in agricultural production, to promote biofertilizer production in the private / semi-private / private sectors, to encourage the farmer to use organic fertilizers. Under this scheme, beneficiary farmer to get financial assistance to establish Organic Fertilizer Production Unit or beneficiary to get 25% amount as a financial assistance of all expenditure required to establish organic fertilizer unit. Benefits of Financial Assistance Scheme for Organic Fertilizer Production Unit:

• The scheme provides benefits to the farmer. Under this scheme, benefits are given in the form of financial assistance
• Under this scheme, beneficiary farmer to get financial assistance for buying organic materials, glassware, chemicals, raw materials, packing, material for organic fertilizer production units
• Under this scheme, beneficiary farmer to get 25% amount as a financial assistance of all expenditure required to establish organic fertilizer unit

Required eligibility and conditions applying for Financial Assistance Scheme for Organic Fertilizer Production Unit:

1. Farmer resident of Maharashtra state
2. The beneficiary organization must be registered as an SSI unit under the company’s work
3. Production of organic fertilizer unit should be minimum 150 metric ton yearly
4. It is compulsory to start fertilizer production post sanctioned of financial assistance
