On May 22, 2021, Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) newly announced Free Tractor Rental Scheme for all the small and marginal farmers across the state of Tamil Nadu. This scheme is launched to assist the farmers for this cropping season amidst the second wave of the pandemic. Under this scheme, the farmers will get tractors and farming equipment free of cost on rental basis. TAFE will provide its Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors and farm equipment to the farmers. This scheme will be applicable to the farmers owning a farm land of 2 acres or less than that in the state. Implementation of the scheme will be done with support of State Agriculture Department. This scheme will be operational from May 2021 to July 2021.
