Free Treatment to Road Accident Victims

On November 18, 2021 Tamil Nadu government has announced Free Treatment to Road Accident Victims scheme. Under this scheme, the Tamil Nadu government has decided to provide free medical treatment to the accident victims in the geographical limits of Tamil Nadu state. It is applicable to all the victims facing road accidents in the state irrespective of them being either from Tamil Nadu or from any other state or country. The free treatment under this scheme will include 81 lifesaving procedures and will be provided by the state government for the first 48 hours. Free treatment will be provided up to Rs. 1 lakh to each accident victim. This scheme will ensure treatment in the golden hour thereby increasing the chances of saving the accident victim.
