To promote Digital India campaign and cashless transaction, the Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar announced new scheme to provide free Wi-Fi in villages. Under this scheme, the government aims to develop at least one Wi-Fi zone in all 6,078 Gram Panchayats within two years in Haryana state. Along with the Wi-Fi in villages, the state government will also provide the Wi-Fi to the universities, hospitals and various public places in the state. along with this, government connecting all state-run schools with broadband and providing Wi-Fi and ensuring universal phone connectivity and providing 4G services in every village in the next three years.
The main objectives of the scheme are to provide free hotspot connection in rural areas, to provide the facility of Wi-Fi in priority places such as Hospital, Universities and other places, to upgrade the Digital India Campaign, to encourage Digital Payment and Transactions in the state. In this scheme, around 100 free Wi-Fi connections are already installed in required villages. To promote the campaign of Digital India Manohar Lal Khattar has launched many new e-services for the people of the state. The state government of Haryana took very good initiative regarding digital India and State has moved forward in the direction of Digital Revolution in the Country with the help of cashless transaction

- Benefits of free Wi-Fi to villages, universities, hospital, various public places in the state
- Benefits of one Wi-Fi zone in all 6,078 Gram Panchayats within two years in Haryana state
- All government colleges in Haryana are being made free Wi-Fi campuses which will also promote cashless transactions
- In colleges and universities, student will be able to access free Wi-Fi or it helps to acquire knowledge which helps them in their studies
