Ghardivda Bankable Finance Scheme launched by Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat. The scheme primarily aims at economic upliftment of women living below the poverty line. The scheme is being implemented from the year 1996. Women whose annual income is Rs. 36,000 are considered eligible under the scheme. Qualified women are provided loan amount up to Rs. 50,000 through Nationalized Banks. Under the scheme, about 1137 women have been benefited till March 2012. A unique initiative of Gujarat government to make awareness amongst deprived women of the state and bring them into the mainstream and make them economically and socially sound so that they also may contribute to the development of the state, to plan, encourage and coordinate different activities in the field of economic development of women. Benefits of Ghardivda Bankable Finance Scheme in Gujarat:
- Ghardivda Bankable Finance Scheme encourages women to be self-reliant and empowered. To accomplish scheme purpose Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation makes banks of respective areas to accept the application forms of the applicants for providing them loan up to Rs. 50,000
- Gujarat Women Economic Development Corporation provides a subsidy to BPL women to establish micro-enterprise. For business subsidy is Rs. 7,500, For Service subsidy, is Rs. 10,000 and for small industries subsidy is Rs. 12,500/- is provided
- SC/ST are getting 40% subsidy
- Others get 20% subsidy,
- Blind and disabled 50% subsidy is provided
- Under this scheme loan up to Rs. 50000 is provided
- The subsidy also provided between Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 25000
Required eligibility and conditions applying for Ghardivda Bankable Finance Scheme:
- Women resident of Gujarat
- Women belong to BPL (Below Poverty Line)
- Disable women are eligible
- Women of all category can apply
- Annual income should be less than Rs. 36, 000

- BPL Ration card
- Passport size photograph
- Residence proof: Domicile certificate, Residence certificate etc.
- Identity proof: Voter ID, Birth certificate
- PAN card
- Application form

- Caste certificate if women belongs to SC/ST
- Disability certificate if women is disable
