The Election Commission of India has launched Nation Voter`s Service Portal (NVSP) for all the citizens of India. The portal can be accessed at www.nvsp.in The portal provides various voter service online. For most of the voter services voters dont need to go to the election commission office. They can just use NVSP website & access various voter services sitting at home. Mostly commonly required services are application for voter ID card, changes in the electoral roll, correction in voter ID, tracking application status & many more.
Nation Voter`s Service Portal (nvsp.in) Services:
- Apply for voter ID for new voters
- Change in the address (assembly constituency)
- Application for voter ID for oversees voters
- Deletion or objection in electoral roll
- Correction in the voter ID card
- Change of address within constituency
- Track application status
- Check your name in the voters list / Voter ID card download
List of documents required for AC change in voter list:
- Scanned passport size photograph
- Age proof: birth certificate, 10th, 8th or 5th marksheet, passport, pan card, driving license, aadhaar card
- Address proof: passport, driving license, bank passbook, ration card, rent agreement, water bill, telephone bill, electricity bill, gas connection bill etc
How to apply for change in address in your voter card?
| STEP 1: CLICK HERE to go to the National Voters Service Portal |
| STEP 2: Click on Apply online for registration of new voter/due to shifting from AC (Form6) link or CLICK HERE |
| STEP 3: You will be taken to Form 6 |
| STEP 4: Select your state, district & new assembly constituency |
| STEP 5: Click on option due to shifting from another constituency |
| STEP 6: Fill in the application form completely, provide all the details such as name, address, EPIC no, email, mobile etc |
| STEP 7: Upload scanned copy of your latest photograph, age proof, address proof |
| STEP 8: Submit your application & make a note of your application ID it will be required for tracking application status |
