CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched Jagananna Vasathi Deevena scheme for helping the poor and economically backward students. This scheme is mainly launched to help the students studying as well as the children who wish to study. It aims at boosting students to take up higher studies without any financial burden on the parents. Under this scheme students will be provided with reimbursements of boarding and hostel fees. This reimbursement will be applicable till the completion of the course. On April 28, 2021 CM credited about Rs. 1048.94 crores to the bank accounts of mothers of the beneficiaries through direct bank transfer.
