The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has proposed new instant connection scheme called Jhatpat Connection Yojana for residents of the UP. The scheme is primarily for the Above Poverty Line (APL) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families which will provide subsidized and instant electricity connections. New consumer who wants to apply for new electricity connection will be able to apply online or at e-suvidha / jan suvidha centres near them.
UP Jhatpat Connection Yojana: A scheme in UP to provide instant electricity connections to the APL and BPL families.
Jhatpat Connection Yojana Eligibility:
- Applicable only in UP
- Applicable to the UPPCL consumers only
- Applicable only to APL and BPL families
Jhatpat Connection Yojana Benefits:
- Instance electricity connection
- Rs. 10 for 1 KW to 25 KW electricity connection for BPL families
- Rs. 100 for 1 KW to 25 KW electricity connection for APL families
The objective of the scheme to stop complaints of harassment and bribery for new power connection. The application procedure for new power connection will be simplified as well. New consumers will be able to apply online at uppcl.org or at e-suvidha / jan suvidha centres. The new applications will be assigned to engineers under swift processing system. Quick approval will happen based on the application details. An engineer will visit the site for inspection and a power connection will be given in a stipulated time.
With the Jhatpat Connection Yojana in UP the UPPCL wants to provide power connections without hassels and achieve maximum electrification. The government objective is to make sure that every household has electricity and no one lives without power in the state.
