Kanya Kelavni Nidhi launched by Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat. As we know education is very important in all aspects of life. If a woman is educated it tends to improve social economic growth, to decrease domestic and sexual violence, to decrease child marriage etc. that’s why a Gujarat government has taken the unique initiative to improve women education. Government charts out plans to enroll 525,000 girls in the state in Kanya Kelavni drive. It covers 1,865 routes and as a result, 100% enrollment and reduction in the dropout rate from 40% to 2.29% is achieved. There has been a remarkable rise in school enrolment rates and substantial decline in school dropout rates. Gujarat has achieved 100% enrollment in every locality, for every child in every family. This scheme has brought women into the mainstream of development in the rural areas of Gujarat. All women resident of Gujarat can get benefits of the scheme.
