Maharashtra government has come up with a scheme to provide assistance to the start-up ventures in the state. The assistance was announced by the CMO Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, on February 2, 2021. Maharashtra government tends to encourage start-ups by providing financial assistance to file and register patents as well as quality testing and certification. About Rs, 10 lakhs will be provided to the start-ups to get patents and Rs. 2 lakhs will be provided for quality testing and certification. The scheme will function in phases whereby in the first phase around 125-150 start-ups will be provided with financial assistance. It will thereby build a strong start-up ecosystem in the state.
