Matrabhumi Yojana

On November 10, 2021 Uttar Pradesh State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved ‘Matrabhumi Yojana’ for development of villages through public and state contribution. Under this scheme the individuals who left their villages in Uttar Pradesh and are now residing in different cities or states or even abroad can contribute for the development of their villages. Individuals can make contribution in various rural developmental work projects covering areas like electricity, road, water supply, schools, etc. This scheme will be undertaken with 40% state government’s  contribution and 60% contribution from the general public. It aims to provide them an opportunity to change the love for their village into service for the village. This scheme aims at making the rural areas self-reliant. It is an important step in the holistic development of villages in the state.

• This scheme intends enable integrated development of villages in the state through public and state contribution.
• Development under this scheme will include various facilities for the villagers like electricity, schools, primary health centres, road, water supply, library, etc.
• It will enable holistic development in the rural areas of the state.
• This scheme will provide an opportunity to the individuals now staying outside the village to contribute in the development of their village.
• It will enable combined effort of government and public donors for welfare and rural development in the state.
• This scheme will boost the rural economy in the long run.

• Uttar Pradesh Matrabhumi Yojana is approved by the state cabinet headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on November 10, 2021.

• These funds will be used only till the state budget is provided to the society and will be returned once the budget is available.
