The UP Chief Minister launched Mukhya Mantri Samagra Gram Yojana to develop martyr`s villages on priority. Under the scheme martyr`s villages will be called as Shahid Gram and would get all facilities such as road, power, school and hospital.
The villages which share inter-state and international border will be chosen first for the schemes according to the government of UP spokesperson Shrikant Sharma. The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting.
Selected villages under the Mukhya Mantri Samagra Gram Yojana will get 24 government schemes on priority along with construction of roads, schools, hospitals, electricity and other basic facilities. Several employment generation schemes too will be implemented in such villages. Martyr`s status and gate will be constructed in those villages as a mark of respect towards the martyrs.
Government has allocated sufficient funds for the scheme but incase more funds are required then the funds from the Vidhayak Nidhi can be used for the scheme.
