To provide financial assistance to women and empower them

On April 19, 2021 the Bihar state cabinet chaired by CM Nitish Kumar approved ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana’ for encouraging women to take up self-employment opportunities. Under this scheme a loan of Rs. 10 lakhs will be provided to the women beneficiaries for starting a new venture. 50% of the loan amount will be provided on interest free basis. The loan amount can be repaid in 84 easy installments under this scheme. It aims at boosting the women entrepreneurship in the state. This scheme is planned for empowering women in the state thereby making them financially independent and stable.
