Mukhyamantri Nagar Awas Yojana in Sikkim

The Sikkim government will construct 250 residential housing units for poor people in the recent financial ear 2016-17 with the help of new scheme launched named Mukhyamantri Nagar Awas Yojana in Sikkim. For this scheme, a list of the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Nagar Awas Yojana will be prepared by the state government of Sikkim. Mukhyamantri Nagar Awas Yojana started with the joint venture state government and the private agencies to provide houses for the poor people of the state. The government also provide housing loan under this scheme with the reduced interest rate by the government. The amount will be deposited in any nationalized bank and the housing unit’s area is near about of 600 Sq. ft. The main objective of this scheme is to help those homeless and slum dwellers to gain appropriate housing it also aims to make India slum-free by 2022 by providing people with shelter or housing. It would provide basic amenities such as water supply, sewerage, drainage, internal and approach roads, street lighting and social infrastructure facilities
