Nadu-Nedu Scheme, Telangana / नाडु-नेदु योजना तेलंगाना

Telangana government is about to start an infrastructure development programme for schools named Nadu-Nedu in Telangana similar to an ongoing initiative in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh government in 2019 launched Nadu-Nedu scheme, an initiative to develop the government schools all the over state with respect to infrastructure, technology, equipped laboratories, etc. This initiative will cover all the schools across the state in 3 years. Andhra Pradesh government developed a software through TCS for implementing the scheme across the state. Similarly, Telangana government is about to start the same initiative for developing the government schools and thereby benefiting the students in this modern world. Telangana government sought no objection certificate from the Andhra Pradesh government as required by TCS and thereby preparations for framing and launching the scheme have been started. It will lead to holistic development of schools across the state.

• The main objective of the scheme is holistic development of government schools across the state
• This scheme aims at development of infrastructure and increased use of digital infrastructure, e-Content, English labs, fully equipped laboratories, etc
• It also aims at providing basic amenities like clean water, furniture, toilets, compound wall, etc in all schools
• Required renovation in the schools will be done under the scheme
• Overall development of schools will in return lead to development of students studying thereby
• Students studying in such schools will get better opportunities to learn and succeed
• This will encourage the schools to improve their performance

• Nadu-Nedu scheme is being planned in Telangana state for holistic development of schools in the state
• Similar scheme was launched in Andhra Pradesh state in 2019 for a period of 3 years
• It is an ongoing initiative for overall development of schools in the state on various parameters like infusing modern technology, developing infrastructure, providing basic amenities, etc
• For implementing the scheme Andhra Pradesh government developed an end-to-end software through TCS
• That software is being used in implementation of the scheme
• To launch a similar scheme in Telangana, the government approached TCS for building the similar software for Telangana state
• TCS requested for an no objection certificate from the Andhra Pradesh government for the same
• Thus, Education department of Telangana wrote an application to the Education department in Andhra Pradesh asking for the same
• Andhra Pradesh government decided to cooperate and gave the approval
• CMO Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated if this (software) is for the benefit of our Telugu people, we should provide them with the support they need.
• This scheme will thereby lead to development of all the government schools in Telangana state
• It will aid in developing infrastructure in the schools
• Infusion of modern technology, well equipped laboratories, english labs, etc will be covered
• Provision of basic amenities in schools like tap water, clean toilets, compound walls, furniture, etc will also be covered
• It aims at holistic development of schools thereby making them competitive and benefiting the students studying thereby
• The scheme encourages improved performance and raised education standard in the state in the long run
