Holistic growth and development of girl child thereby empowering them

On January 24, 2021, on the occasion of National Girl Child Day, Madhya Pradesh government started ‘PANKH Abhiyan’ a new campaign for empowerment of girl child across the state. This campaign is launched by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan under ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme. In the word PANKH, letter P stands for Protection; A stands for Awareness, N stands for Nutrition, K stands for Knowledge and H stands for Health. This abhiyan will be in force for 1 year for now starting from January 24, 2021 to January 24, 2022. It aims at holistic development of girls in the state. It aims at not only taking care of their health, nutrition and education but also protection and awareness about their rights as individuals.
