The Prasooti Araike Scheme for Pregnant Women is started by Karnataka government (Health and Family Welfare) for the benefit of pregnant women belonging to below poverty line SC and ST families. The main objective of this scheme is to provide better healthcare while pregnancy days and provide financial assistance to the beneficiaries will get Rs. 1000 and other services will be provided to pregnant women. The scheme is only applicable for Karnataka states residence and the benefit is limited to the first two deliveries
Benefits of Prasooti Araike Scheme for Pregnant Women:
- Prasooti Araike Scheme for Pregnant Women provides benefits in the form of financial assistance and free health checkup and other benefits mentioned below
- The beneficiaries will get Rs. 1000 during the second-trimester antenatal checkup (i.e. between 4th and 6th month) and Rs. 1000 during the third-trimester antenatal checkup (i.e. between 7th and 9th month), totaling Rs. 2000 paid through bearer cheque
- This facility is extended to all pregnant women belonging to below poverty line families
Required eligibility and conditions for applying Prasooti Araike Scheme for Pregnant Women:
- The benefit is limited to the first two deliveries
- The candidate women must be residents of Karnataka government
- The candidate women must belong to SC and ST category and below poverty line
Application procedure and documents required for applying Prasooti Araike Scheme for Pregnant Women:
- Domicile certificate
- BPL card or Ration card
- Caste certificate
- Aadhar card
- ANC registration number along with noting whether it is first or second delivery
Application procedure:
- The pregnant women have to register their names with the Junior Female Health Assistant of the area
- The women will issue ANC card
- During every ANC checkup, the Medical Officer of the Health Centre/Hospital puts the signature, date, and seal on the ANC card
- The An information booklet on the dietary requirements for the pregnant woman will be provided by IEC wing, to each of them
- The Junior Female Health Assistant would record the ANC registration number along with noting whether it is first or second delivery
