Pre Metric Scholarship

The Pre-Matric Scholarship for minority students is started by Andhra Pradesh government for economically backward minority students to encourage parents from minority communities to send their children to school lighten their financial burden on school education and sustain their efforts to support their children to complete school education. The main objective of this scheme is Empowerment through education and upliftment of the socio-economic conditions of the minority communities. Pre Metric Scholarship will be sanctioned to the economically backward minority students studying in class 6th to 10th whose parent/guardian income is below Rs 1 lakh per annum.

Benefits of Pre Metric Scholarship:

  • The Pre-Matric Scholarship provides benefits to minority students in terms of financial assistance for studies and essential expenses. Structure of financial assistance mention below
  • 6th to 8th class: Scholarship amount is Rs. 600 per annum
  • 9th to 10th class: Scholarship amount is Rs. 800 per annum

Required eligibility and conditions for applying for Pre Metric Scholarship:

  1. Candidates parents/guardians annual income does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh or candidate whose parental income less than 1 lakh are eligible for scholarship application
  2. The Scholarship amount shall be disbursed to the students who put in 75% attendance in normal time
  3. Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians (Parsis) are able to get scholarship
  4. The students must score not below the 50% marks in the last class examination

Instructions for Filling the Pre-Matric Scholarship Application Form:

  1. It is necessary to all the students to fill all the (*) mark columns in the application form. If the student not fills these columns then the application will not be considered. The student’s parents/ guardian’s yearly income should not be more than Rs. 1 lakh
  2. The student should enclose the Income declaration by the parents/guardian in the approved format along with the application form
  3. The students must score not below the 50% marks in the last class examination
  4. The student must note down the Application ID number for future use
  5. The students must enter the UIDAI No. / EID No. in the Online Application form
  6. The students also furnish the bank account details
  7. After filling the application form online, take a print out of that filled in application and submit the same with all the other required documents in the school/institution, where the student is studying

Application/Admission procedure and documents required for applying for Pre Metric Scholarship:

  1. Enclose the income certificate or income declaration ( an affidavit on Non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10 for self-employed parents or guardian or Income certificate from the employer for employed parents/guardian)
  2. Enclose a bonafide certificate which must be issued by the Head of the school/institution
  3. Enclose the Xerox copy of last class report card
  4. Enclose the Xerox copy of Aadhar card
  5. Submit the Xerox copy of bank passbook having details like account no., IFSC code, MICR code, Bank branch name etc
  6. Minority community declaration – affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper by the student that he/she belongs to any one of the minority communities notified by Central Government

  3. ID and Password will be generated
  4. The make a login by entering ID and Password will be generated
  5. Application form will open fill the required information along with upload photograph
  6. Take a print out of that application form and submit it to respective school with documents
