The Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje had announced loan waiver for farmers (राजस्थान किसान ऋण माफ़ी योजना) in the state in the budget 2018-19. The Rajasthan Government`s Cooperative Department has started the implementation of the loan waiver (karj mafi / Overdue Alpkalin Fasali Rin Mafi Yojana). They will be setting up special camps to distribute loan waiver certificate. The CM waived off loans of small and marginal farmers upto Rs. 50,000.
Rajasthan Loan Waiver Scheme for farmers: Highlights
- Overdue Alpkalin Fasali Rin Mafi Yojana
- Loans of small and marginal farmers is waived off
- Loans upto Rs. 50,000 only is waived off
- 2.8 million farmers to benefit under the scheme
- The loans from cooperative banks and institutions are waived off
- Agricultural loans till 30th September 2017 are covered in the scheme
- Government to come up with the list of eligible farmers shortly
- Grievance redressal committee and a monitoring committee is setup to make sure the schemes implementation
- Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department will head the nine-member monitoring committee
- The loan waiver to cost Rs. 8000 crores to the state
Kisan Karj Mafi Yojana / Farmers Debt Waiver Scheme Eligibility:
- Farmers from Rajasthan only are eligible
- Marginal farmers with land holding of upto one hectors
- Small farmers with land holding of upto two hectors
- Other farmers with land holding above two hectors will get the loan waiver in decreasing proportion of their land holding
How to apply for Rajasthan Loan Waiver Scheme:
- The Cooperative Department of govt of Rajasthan will be setting up special camps across Rajasthan, please visit the one near to you
- The government will be releasing the list of beneficiaries under the scheme, you can check your name in the camp
- If your name is their in the list based on the eligibility, they will provide Loan Waiver Certificate to you & you will be given loan waiver (karj mafi)
- You can also visit nearest e-Mitra center to check their loans waiver amount
