The Department of School Education, Government of Haryana has released notification for admission under Rule 134-A for admissions to the private schools. Under Section 134A of Haryana School Education (Third Amendment) Rules, 2013 10% of seats in private schools are reserved for students from Below Powerty Lines (BPL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
What is Rule 134-A of Haryana School Education?
- It is Haryana School Education rule for admission to private schools for poor and underprivileged students in the state
- Under the Rule 134a 10% of the admissions are given to the poor and meritorious students
- Free education for class 2nd till class 8th students in private schools
- Government fees is applicable in private for class 9th till class 12th

- Same fees as in government schools for class 9th till class 12th students in the private schools
- To empower students from poor families & to provide them equal opportunities to them

RTE Act 2009 for admission in class 1st:
- RTE Act 2009 amendment Rule 7 of Haryana Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011 amended in 2015
- Under the act 25% seat needs to be reserved for poor and underprivileged students for admission to the 1st class to government and government aided schools
Schedule for admission in class 1st under RTE Act 2009:
- Date of submission of applications to the concerned District Elementary Education Officer: 13 February 2018 till 28th February 2018
- Forwarding of applications to the government schools for admission: 1st March 2018 till 15th March 2018
Schedule for admission in class 2nd to 8th under Rule 134A of Haryana School Education Rules, 2003, amended in 2013 year 2018-19:
- Display of vacancies by private schools: 20 March 2018
- Date of application under 134a for year 2018-19: 20 March 2018 till 10 April 2018
- Publication of list of eligible applicants by BEO/BEEO: 12 April 2018
- Date of written assessment test: 15th April 2018
- Result of admission test under 134a: 18th April 2018
- First draw of lots of Block level: 19 April 018
- Admission on the basis of first draw of lots: 20 April 2018 till 25 April 2018
- 2nd draw of lots for remaining seats: 01 May 2018
- Admission on the basis of 2nd draw of lot: 02 May 2018 to 05 May 2018

Rule 134a: free admission to private school eligibility
- Students who are residents of Haryana only are eligible
- Only those who`s family income is less than 2 lakh per year can apply
- Students who are studying in CBSE/BOSE government recognized schools only can apply
