Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s launched his ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Har Ghar Sahaj Bijli Yojana (SAUBHAGYA) last year with mission to provide free electricity to all the households in India by March 2019. The government is now using innovative approach to create awareness about the scheme with an objective to achieve last mile household electrification by providing last mile electricity connectivity to all rural and urban households.
Government`s Navratna company Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has come up with innovative idea of organizing a short film making contest to create awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Har Ghar Sahaj Bijli Yojana and involve people to be ambassador of the program. The contestants needs to create a short film on the Subhagya Scheme and submit it to saubhagya.gov.in The winners will be given attractive price money.
SAUBHAGYA scheme short film competition last date: 31st January 2018
Create a 3 minute film on the following categories to spread awareness about the initiative:
- Role of electrification in nation building
- Real life stories of impact of electrification on women empowerment
- Real life stories of impact of electrification on entrepreneurship
- Real life stories of impact of electrification on healthcare improvement
- Real life stories of impact of electrification on education improvement
- Real life stories of impact of electrification on agriculture
Step by step online application procedure for SAUBHAGYA scheme short film competition:
STEP 1: Go to SAUBHAGYA scheme short film making competition website at http://saubhagya.gov.in/contest/landing/video
STEP 2: Click on Short Flim Contest Form or directly click here
STEP 3: Provide your mobile number and enter CAPTCHA then click on Request OTP button
STEP 4: You will receive OTP on your mobile, enter the OTP
STEP 5: Complete your profile details (name, address and email id) and click on Save button
STEP 6: On next page select your Category, upload your video (you can upload your video to Google Drive/Dropbox/OneDrive and provide URL) and provide description of your video, then click on Save
SAUBHAGYA scheme short film competition prizes:
- First prize: Rs.50,000 (in each category)
- Second prize: Rs.40,000 (in each category)
- Third prize: Rs.30,000 (in each category)
- 20 consolation prizes of Rs.10,000 each
SAUBHAGYA scheme short film competition eligibility, terms and conditions:
- Only Indian citizens can apply
- The video should not infringe the intellectual property rights
- Video can be shot on smartphones, cameras or any other digital recording devices
- Animation films are not allowed for the competation
- Duration of the video can be maximum 3 minutes
- The video can be in Hindi/English or in any local languages
- Regional language videos should have Hindi/English subtitles
- Maximum size of the video is 300 MB
- The video must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, or disparaging, or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortuous, slanderous, discriminatory
