On October 20, 2021, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually launched ‘Shri Dhanwantari Generic Medical Store Scheme’. Under this scheme the state government started 84 Dhanwantari Generic Medical Stores in the state. In these generic medical stores, medicines will be sold at a discounted price. All the medicines will be sold at 50-71% discount on the maximum retail price. This scheme aims at providing medicines at affordable rates to all the people. It aims to relieve people from the burden of medicine expenditure in difficult times. This scheme will expand health services and improve the overall health mechanism in the state.
