The Sitaram Jindal Foundation (SJF), formerly known as S J Jindal Trust, established in 1969 is a charitable organization with the objective of serving the poor and weaker people in various fields. This scholarship is for meritorious students for pursuing their higher studies. The primary objectives of Sitaram Jindal Foundation are for providing financial assistance plus maintaining pathshalas, schools, colleges and other centers of learning for the education of children. The scholarships and grants of financial assistance are provided to meritorious and brilliant students who belong to the economically backward section of our nation. It is given to them for pursuing acquires graduation, post-graduation degrees in the field of veterinary sciences, engineering, agriculture, medicine etc. and higher education courses.
Benefits of Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship:
- Sitaram Jindal Foundation provides Scholarship in the form of financial assistance. Rates of scholarship are mentioned below as per the class of students
- For 9th to 12th Class Students the scholarship is Rs. 500/- per month
- For ITI students the amount is Rs. 500/- per month
- For graduation and postgraduate students the amount is :
- General girls : Rs. 800 per month
- General boys : Rs. 600 per month
- Physically Challenged students: Rs. 800 per month
- For widows & unmarried wards of ex-serviceman: Rs. 1000 per month
- Post-Graduation students will get additional: Rs. 200 per month
- For diploma courses the amount is :
- Girls -Rs. 1000 p.m.
- Boys – Rs. 800 p.m.
- Pursuing Graduation or Post Graduation in Medical or engineering:
- UG Courses: Girls – Rs. 1500 per month and Boys – Rs. 1300 per month
- PG Courses: Girls – Rs. 2000 per month and Boys – Rs. 1800 per month
- Additional amount for Boarders:
- ITI/Graduate courses Rs. 500/- per month
- Medical or Engineering Course Rs. 1000/- per month
Required Eligibility and Conditions for Applying Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship:
- The candidates should be citizens of India for applying for the scholarships
- At least 50% marks in class 9 or 10, Girl students who have obtained are eligible for the scholarships
- Students should have passed the earlier examination in the initial attempt
- Meritorious students who have obtained more than 65% marks in the courses mentioned above are largely eligible to apply for the scholarships.
- Post graduate courses in Library Science, Arts, Science, Mass Communication, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science etc. are eligible for applying scholarship
- Girl students studying in classes 9th, 10th , 11th and 12th are eligible
- Graduates from all streams such as Commerce, Arts, Pharmacy, Science, Homeopathy, Engineering, Naturopathy and Medicine are eligible
- The applying candidates must necessarily belong to the economically weaker section of the society with a minimum of 60% marks, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree
Document Required for Applying Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship:
- Photocopy of SSC/HSC Marks card
- Photocopy of Last exam Passed
- Photocopy of Income Certificate
- Photocopy of Merit Certificate ( For Engineering , Medical, Diploma & MBA students )
- For Hostellers, a certificate from the warden or owner of the private accommodation
- For physically challenged – Certificate from a competent authority
Application procedure:
- First, you have to download the application form from the website.
- You have to attach all documents issued by the competent authority and duly attested by the Principal /Authorized Professor or Lecturer along with the application form
