Government of India has launched a scheme for apple growers and aggregators in Kashmir. The name of new scheme is Special Market Intervention Price (MIPS). Under the scheme government of India will purchase apples directly from apple growers at their door step. Government will purchase 12 lakh metric tonnes of apples at rate which is profitable to farmers.
