अरुणाचल प्रदेश में पूरक पोषण कार्यक्रम (हिंदी में) 

The Supplementary Nutrition Programme is one of the six services provided under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). This scheme is launched by Government of India and it is implemented all over the states in the country. The Government of Arunachal Pradesh also implementing Supplementary Nutrition Programme for children’s, pregnant women, adolescent girls. Under this scheme, the government served nutritious food to the vulnerable children (0-6 years), pregnant women and lactating mother through Anganwadi Centers with the help of Anganwadi Workers. The whole program is assisted under the supervision of Gram-Sevikas and Supervisors/ Extension Officer. The food items like Khichri (Mixture of rice, pulses, etc.), Local vegetable/fruits, Biscuits (fortified), Cereal-based weaning food with milk, Ground-Nut (Red variety) and Peas (Green variety)/Bengal grams etc. are served in these Anganwadi centers. The scheme assures that a child in the rural area get nutrition which is good in quality and quantity

Benefits of Supplementary Nutrition Programme:

  • 0 to 6 years children: food items like Bengal gram, groundnut, eggs, rice chali, sweet potato, atta, soya bean, rajma, Kabuli, jaggery served to the children’s for 300 days in a year
  • Pregnant women and lactating mother: food items like Bengal gram, groundnut, biscuits/milk served to the Pregnant and lactating women for 300 days in a year
  • Adolescent Girls: food items like Bengal gram, groundnut, biscuits/milk served to the Adolescent Girls for 300 days in a year

Eligibility for Supplementary Nutrition Programme:

  1. Applicant should be resident of Arunachal Pradesh state
  2. Children’s between 0 to 6 years, pregnant women and lactating mother are eligible for Supplementary Nutrition Programme in Arunachal Pradesh
  3. Adolescent girls within the age group of 11 to18 years are also eligible for this scheme

Documents required for Supplementary Nutrition Programme:

  1. Aadhaar card
  2. BPL ration card to show poverty status

Application Procedure:

  1. Supplementary Nutrition Programme is implemented through Anganwadi Centers with the help of Anganwadi Workers in the state
  2. Applicant should contact Anganwadi centers in Arunachal Pradesh state
