Government of Himachal Pradesh launched the Swarna Jayanti Utkrishta Vidyalaya Yojana in the state. This scheme was announced by CMO Himachal Pradesh Mr. Jai Ram Thakur in the budget session 2020-21. This scheme aims to benefit the students along with schools in the state. Under the scheme selected outstanding schools will get benefits such as renovation, infrastructure, modern technology, etc. Currently 68 schools with more than 500 students have been selected for holistic development. Total budget sanctioned by the state, for the scheme is Rs. 30 crores.
