Talent Pool Voucher Scheme launched by Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat to assist the talented Schedule Tribe students get the best quality education in reputed private schools so that they can compete with the other sections of the society confidently. under this scheme scheduled tribe students are benefits as per their respective family’s annual income. Those students who seek admission in a reputed institute of state, Government of Gujarat will assist them to get admission and full or 50% subsidy also given. This scheme aims upliftment of tribal community by assisting them to pursue higher education despite a weaker economic background of them. All fees like registration fees, processing fees, admission, security deposit, tuition fees and any extra fees of the private school are borne by the government under this scheme.  Over the last three years, 628 talented tribal students have benefited from the scheme. The government has spent Rs. 239.30 lakh for this scheme in the first two years of the Twelfth Five Year Plan as compared to Rs. 290.16 lakh in Eleventh Five Year Plan

Benefits of Talent Pool Voucher Scheme in Gujarat:

• Talent Pool Voucher Scheme focuses on motivating the Schedule Tribe meritorious students to study further in the best educational institutions. The benefit of the scheme is based on the family’s annual income as follows
• All fees like registration fees, processing fees, admission, security deposit, tuition fees and any extra fees of the private school are borne by the government under this scheme
• Annual Income Up to 2,00,00: Full subsidy
• Annual income 2,00,000-3,00,000: 50% subsidy
• Annual income More than 3,00,000: No subsidy

Required eligibility and conditions applying for Talent Pool Voucher Scheme:

1. All tribal residence students of Gujarat state are eligible under this scheme
2. The annual income of the family should not more than amount mentioned above
3. The Schedule Tribe students of class 5 and class 10 who seek admission in the next class
4. Minimum score in entrance test should be 60% or more

Document required applying for Talent Pool Voucher Scheme:

1. Residence proof: Domicile certificate, Electricity bill
2. Identity proof: Aadhar card
3. BPL ration card (if available)
4. Caste certificate
5. Tribal certificate
6. Income certificate

Application procedure:

1. This scheme is implemented by Tribal Development Department. Students who wish to get benefits of this scheme can apply at Nearest Tribal Development Office
